Zechariah in the Daily Office Lectionary
The Daily Office Lectionary appoints Zechariah 20 times in its two-year course and twice on Holy Days. The course reads 12 of its 14 chapters, 6 of them in full.
Chapter by chapter
- Year One reads chapters 1–2, 9, 12–13 during Christmas, Holy Week, and the Season after Pentecost, at Morning and Evening Prayer.
- Year Two reads chapters 1–4, 7–14 during Advent, Holy Week, Easter, and the Season after Pentecost, at Morning and Evening Prayer.
Zechariah chapters: both years 1–2, 9, 12–13; Year Two only 3–4, 7–8, 10–11, 14; not in the two-year course 5–6; in part 1, 7–9, 11–12.

When both offices have two lessons, “the Old Testament Reading for the alternate year is used as the First Reading at Evening Prayer” (BCP p. 934). This site and the app follow that rubric, so most of these lessons are heard twice: at Morning Prayer in the year listed, and at Evening Prayer on the same day in the other year.
